What's happening at the museum
While we are only open during the summer months for regular visits, there are other opportunities to enjoy local history.
New Hours in Season 31
We are changing our open hours beginning May 23, 2026. The museum will be open from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Sunday for visitors to enjoy our exhibits and/or research local history.Whitehall Christmas Stroll
Stop by our booth (with the Whitehall Rotary Club) on December 12 & 13 for the 2025 Stroll. We will have a selection of historic photo reproductions, including 1000-piece puzzles, placemats, and posters that will make great Christmas gifts.Annual Museum Meeting
April 2, 2026. Annual Membership Meeting and Program. Open to the public at Whitehall's Star Theater. Our program will be Conversations with Early Women of the Valley.
Students welcome
Our volunteers are always ready to share knowledge with students. We have regular visits with Whitehall 3rd graders and have arranged visits from other schools. Contact the museum at least two weeks in advance to schedule a visit - remember, during the off season we only check our phone messages on Mondays.

Saturday, May 23, 2026 with new open hours of 1:00 PM to 5PM and Tuesday through Sunday ending September 15th. Open on Memorial and Labor Days. (check with museum to see if July 4 has staffing)

kids scavenger hunt
To help our younger visitors enjoy the museum more, they can do a scavenger hunt to find artifacts listed on a guide sheet. Once they find all the items, bring back the completed hunt and receive a coupon for a free ice cream cone at our local A&W.
